I don't feel that much, since I don't often attach artists to their work. Still, I feel it holds some relevance since Catcher In The Rye is my favorite book. Though I hated it the first time, after a second read I found it absolutely brilliant. I have no idea how he did it, but while reading the whole book you almost hate it, and as soon as it's over it's a masterpiece. I assume it has to do with how real it feels.
Now I'm hearing about his supposed safe, and the fifteen or more books locked inside. Whether or not I read them if they are published depends on if he intended them to be. If he did, like his daughter suggests, then I might read a few. Definately not the Catcher sequel, though. I think a follow up defeats the purpose.
